Teaming the Teachers is a special program designed specifically for teachers, faculty and staff to help build community in the school. Our activities encourage collaboration between teachers in the same grade level and across grade levels. Whether you are starting off the school year with teachers that are new to the school or need a mid-year opportunity to regroup and refocus as a team, Teaming the Teachers is the perfect program to help teachers break out of the work silos they often find themselves in during the year. Our program reminds teachers to reach out to those who taught their previous students, to ask questions and to discuss necessary material to ensure all students will be well prepared and successful throughout their academic career at the school.
This program will infuse new and fresh energy into the school’s leaders and to equip teachers with new tools for their quest to help students develop self-esteem, solve problems, enhance creativity, learn to lead and develop trust in others. During the activities, time will be taken to discuss how the activities are creating powerful metaphors for situations in the school or classroom. Some of these topics can include:
• Creating greater interdependence and support throughout the school
• Building a greater sense of community in the school through experiential activities in the classroom
• Living the mission and vision
